June 4 1945 Germany Dearest, I made application to come home today maybe something will come of it I applied for it for quite a few reasons that I can tell you about later. A lot of my good buddies are going home on the point system. We are kept busy about all the time I pile up a lot of miles every day I have been over the Rhine quite a ways.
