Kress, Texas June 18- '42 Dear Frances: It's been so long since I rec'd your last letter, don't have it at hand- hardly know where to begin. Hope you are ok- that the health and happiness rating still is excellent. Finally at last am mailing you a little gift- if it doesn't match, or is not just what you want, feel free to exchange it. Don't think you will have any trouble. The real reason have delayed so long- just couldn't get a chance to do any shopping. Ralph has had so many colds and been kinda under the weather so much- and myself too. Yesterday I went to town, alone and got several things I've been needing and wanting, including a summer hat! The summer seemed about to get away before I could get it. You seem to have several things to keep you busy. Hope Lloyd's mother continues to improve, feel sure she has a good nurse. Haven't heard from anyone from home for some time. Suppose Maurice
