uncertain to make a long trip possible. Norfolk is a rough, lousy town so the officers say. The place is high priced on everything. Sailors don't stand in well. Guess the people are fed up on them. If you have ideas on visiting Lloyd, I might go in that direction while you are there. Has he changed camp lately? I might have a better idea on what we'll do in a week or two. Quite a few of the men of the 19th battalion were selected for marine training at Parris Island, off the coast of South Carolina. If I should be so selected, I'd be in this country about two months. Otherwise we'll be leaving for somewhere sometime sooner.
