would be consistent to take a point discharge when you had been drafted - sensing when and as long as the govt. wanted you. It would not be quite as consistent to take an age discharge when you'd been over-age all but 5 months of the three years of your service. If anybody is dope enough to think you don't want to come home, or that you like war, they will just have to go on being stupid. I secretly wonder if Earl thinks he shouldn't have had an essential rating in 1942 and if that doesn't unconsciously influence his remarks? Wore a wash dress to work for the first time this season. It hasn't been warm enough before. I think I like summer weather even in the summertime. Love, Laura
