Saving...
2 This afternoon I continued on my task of cleaning up the house. I quit when I had everything in fair shape except the Sun room and our bedroom. Then I made a jelly-roll. Ardy came before I had the cake ready for the oven. We visited, finished up the cake. Lenora called while that process was going on too. Ardy had to leave soon as she had to drive back to West Union tonight. So I gave her a sample of the cake and some pineapple juice. Later Leone & Jack came. We had a light lunch of cheese sandwiches, tea, pineapple juice and cake. I'll be so glad when it is you that I fix such things for, instead of just guests. We visited and they went home about nine-thirty. It is real warm in the house. I fired too much, but it has been a long time since I estimated that incorrectly. At least it is comfortable. Did you ever receive the cigarettes the Shop boys sent for Christmas? If so, did you write? Claude asked me quite a few times, then he does not mention it now. But if they got a letter I believe he would have said. I think they expected a message from you at least through me if not a letter direct. So whether or not you received them, mention how and what in an early letter to me if you have space. If I write by V-mail now does it come to you photographed? What seems to be the best way for me to write to you now? The letter you wrote on Jan 9 got here Jan 19. That was fine service. It is the last I got.
