Saving...
I ate orange juice and coffee at Sigourney, but otherwise I made no other stop. The car certainly runs well and the heater worked fine. The office staff ate most of the candy today. I suppose the gang consumed the cigars too. Tomorrow night the visitors are bringing a potluck supper to my apartment to celebrate. You will have to tell me about the reactions of the boys, especially those we both know. Miss Taft has not written yet regarding another worker. I suppose the holidays have made them a little behind in getting things out. It is so much better to be down here this way than it was before. Until we can be together memories can help us out. I remember how you looked yesterday afternoon when we said good-bye. Clear blue eyes, whites of your eyes clear, and the whole face in happiness as we sat in the car in the sunshine. The things of the spirit one can't put down well on paper, but the symptoms, like facial expression, one can partly describe.
