Saving...
that way because we did not leave her alone. I didn't get said very well how much I appreciated her kindness, but I did get it said after a fashion and I believe we understood each other. I would have been home to get your call earlier but I was invited out to dinner and didn't tell Mrs Belles where I was. I'm leaving word from now on so that I can be located promptly, say or night. If you call or telegraph you perhaps should have it in care of Mrs C. S. Belles. The night telegraph operator is the depot man and not so resourceful in locating people if their names are not in the phone book, but Mrs Belles is in the phone book and he would flag it that way. The State office hasn't sent word yet, but if Miss Taft were out of town no one else would answer as I addressed it to her personally. Write whatever you know. Even if I'm 147 miles away I want to be as good a help meet as possible. Goodnight dear Love, Laura
