The State office hasn't written to me yet, so I'm not too concerned about cooperating with them as to the time of my resignation. If they have no worker, the least decent thing they could do is send a note saying so and appreciate the fact I told them before I was married. Maybe they are having personal problems like our family and so can't get everything done, either! If Mother is in serious condition or wants me especially, I'll come anytime. She is good enough reason for me to be absent and the number of years we will have to be a comfort to her can't be very large. There is nothing among my cases that can't be done by the regular staff
