worrying about being a slacker of an employee or about neglecting Mother because my work would not let me come. Having served the State Dept notice (and no word from them yet, but I'm expecting Miss Munes this week) and caught up my work, I'll leave any time, sending them notice and reason (of the necessity) I can't continue indefinitely. I know you will keep me posted on changes and tell me what you think about the necessity to hurry. As rough as they may be, letters like you wrote Friday will be the way to do things. The boss is to have his physical exam Wednesday morning. He apparently expects he will soon be in the army as he is winding up his work.
