[illegible] Dodge, Jan. 28 '43 - Dear Frances I was very glad to receive your letter I get lonely when it is long between letters. I do and no not expect long letters, a card telling how you and Lloyd are is O.K. When I hear you are well, and I know you usually are, I am sure you can get along all right as you have had lots of experience, but I an alone so much, chores take lots more time when it is so cold some waterer or something freezes up and stock need more bedding and such things, you know, but they get along all right, and now old Jan. is nearly gone it may moderate. It does not thaw, the roads have been icy most of the time and it is so icy and rough I cannot get around so I stay in the house and I think that is one reason I have not felt quite as well as usual. My feet and legs bother mo some but I have no new complaint. I am so glad to be able to get the meals, it helps to pass the time and I am afraid if Tom & Dad had to do that too they would have too hard a time. I had a letter from Aunt Bess this week. She said Cora had been in bed all week again, she had been up part of
