Saving...
that no news is good news. Should get a card from Hardy today. That is where she is. Am wondering if you could make it home while I am here. Would love to see you. Tom says we could take care of an empty gas tank at this end. I bought a round-trip ticket when I came thru Chicago because that was much cheaper and I was afraid that if I returned by way of Ames, I'd have to stand as that line is much busier than the I.C from here to Chi. If you should decide to drive, you might put in that typewriter; that is, if you are not using it. Tom was inquiring about it and said he could use it to fill in [blanks?], etc, if he had it. Guess Scott is coming right after school is out, the 18th. Had a letter from Cecil yesterday. How long he'll stay remains to be seen, but I have a hunch he'll stick it out.
