3 baked beans and these were real good, so we called her to come for her dessert (beans!) here. She of course had had supper by then as we waited until 7:15 for Miss Hartleb. We all visited, did dishes, and then watched the fireplace fire. I was going to take Mrs Baldwin home and planned to mail a note to you then. But when Helen came she brought her car and so she took her. Therefore, I didn't try to go out that late to P.O. if I wasn't going to have to take [Clara?] home. I thought you'd maybe sooner have this longer letter and have it start at 8 in the morn than a measly note I might of made when the girls left and dashed off to the P.O. with then.
