2 of gas for the rest of this ration period. It was cold all day. After we hung up this morning I looked at the window thermometer and it was zero then. That was almost nine o'clock then. The war news is good again today. I've meant to ask you - do you wish me to put savings in more bonds, in Perpetual, or just the bank accounts? I buy one $25 bond a month on the pay roll deduction. I've put some in the bank and I've several checks I've just held. If more war bonds would do any good to end the war faster I could buy more and not put any in the bank accounts. I want enough in the banks though so I could draw a big amount of cash without having to wait at all for it if I should want to have it available for us to do something suddenly - like a couple of air trips! There is enough now to do that. So what I do with future money is mostly
