2 Emilie called. today was Ray's birthday and she made him a cake with fifty candles. She had it ready when he came home from work and he was so surprised and pleased. She has a bad cold so Hazel and I didn't go over this evening. Hazel & I had waffles here for supper. Also had tomato juice and before we go out to mail this and take her home I expect to serve a dish of fruit of some kind. Carl is still doing a lot of overtime. Office work went sort of slow today, yet did accomplish quite a bit in spite of laziness and interruptions. The C.R. Supervisor is in an "omly" spell and won't cooperate at all with him fellow board members for matters pertaining to our department. But he will recover from the spell; he always does. I think his bad leg hurts him a lot some days and undoubtedly
