3 fallen apart. The man made it after seeing an old wheel abandon in Oregon where the old Oregon trail went. Doc's practice was in Ore or Washington before the sent him here so I suppose that is how it happened he had the scenes to copy. Another one is of a 25 mule team combine in a wheat field on a slightly rolling slope. We'll go look at those pictures some time. Had Hazel over for supper and then took her to the bus station. She is going to [Anamosa?] to help her folks move She won't be back until Sunday night. I'll bet it will be a long time for Carl,longer than he thinks four days will be. They'll live on a rock road soon so it won't be so hard for Carl to drive there. I had to hurry as the bus went at 7:15. So I haven't cleaned up the dishes or the kitchen at all yet. As soon as I got home I started in on your letter. I spoke a couple of minutes to Emerson Bishop, while at the bus station. George called last night. He want to be sure "to get a hold of your commanding officer" if you are on maneuvers and not overseas now. He figures you can write as soon as maneuvers are over. Then he wants to apply for you as help on the farm, building up the units required per man he thinks are very reasonable for our farm. I'm all against it.
