Dearest; Another beautiful spring day, the very kind you like. Winter will soon be an ancient dream if this continues.
Had office hours up at Center Point today. Saw Everett and Shrock, and Risih was there to do a repair job on some truck in the country. The gravel was so soft I almost got stuck in the street south of the shops. Everett said he hoped you did not have too hard work to do. 
I'm on the trolley wanting to go to Iowa City. Ardy is across the aisle - we are going to meet Kathryn Engle for supper down there.
Back from Iowa City. A good supper and visit. She will see her soldier at Camp Grant on Saturday. 
I don't want you to worry or be displeased over any of the estate business I write to you about. I don't have to do anything until I hear from you and if you can't answer I'll do only what seems to our best interests and is fair to both you boys. The price of $135 an acre isn't either low or high, do you think? And $5000 is plenty for the house but you want it for our home, so it is worthwhile to pay a good price.
The real important thing is the affection we have for each other. We trust and love and we will not fail each other in anything. I'm doing things and planning for us when you can come home.
