305 West Washington St. Centerville, Iowa February 1, 1942 Dearest, It is now a bit after ten o'clock on the day of our first, or at any rate one of our first, anniversaries. Do you remember moving into the igloo? Oh honey, so much tenderness and kindness and understanding as you had. I'll tell you more of that next week-end; telling is a better means of communication than writing such close and intimate affairs. This morning I did not get up until after nine-thirty. Did I hear you say something to the effect that one should be up by eight oclock on Sunday and that one is "no account" if he stays in bed after nine?
