Hazel was at the hospital when I got there, and I took her home. Later I took her down to the "Y." She was going to I.C. for a picnic with some girl friends. Earl has not received a classification yet. She is certainly working on and purchasing a hope chest. Right now she is hemstitching linen napkins and Mrs. Hall is helping! Lunched with Mrs Hunt and the [nutritionist?]. Her daughter is at church camp at Spirit Lake and writes she is cold. It has been very cool for several evenings now. As far as feelings go, this season has been pretty comfortable, even if plentifully wet. I am wondering about going "south." I've inquired of the Auto Club, talked with Dr. John and Mother. It is 960 miles
