mailed the letter. Then I asked them where they wanted to go. They said South Carolina. So as a compromise we went down the river road, over to the paving south of Fairfax when we finally decided to come home. It was a good ride and I think they enjoyed it. We had doughnuts and ice cream too. We did a lot of visiting and I liked it a lot. We talked about the war but not in that het up way Ray does. Sometimes RAy makes me feel just terrible but usually before he is through talking it is all right. We teased about the moon being, and not being, a necessary accessory. Earl owns up he is in sympathy with the way Ray and you were! He doesn't have his classification yet. Hall sent in a slip for him as they want his labor as long as they can have it.
