disturbed like last week. When she says she is satisfied now I believe she really does mean she is contented whatever her lot is. She is more peaceful. Those glands in chest must be enlarging more and crowding more and so causing the pain. Like you say, we can look forward to living after the war is over. Not in a rosy haze of perfection then, but with joy in realism. We can't evade the hazards and trials of the present so I guess while we are practicing being tough we will have to try to put all the things that happen and age us to the use of making us more mature. Right now that seems small consolation to being together but we must hold on to the idea we can turn these experiences to some good use in later things we meet. Did you fix up the place for me for just a few minutes tonight? And maybe think through the prayer? Goodnight dearest. Love, Laura [smiley face doodle]
