ironing. Then I went out to get the paper and your Friday letter was in the box. The carrier came late in the afternoon I think because I came in by the front door when I came from the hospital and it wasn't there then. So a double surprise and pleasure. And clear at the end besides the usual love is an added "yours forever". We both know things like that and we understand when they are not written down, but there is something thrilling and warming about hearing them said, or when that isn't possible, having them put out in writing. I can't make the pen say that extra little good feelings that comes to me over things like that.
