4 and the pulse quality improved. She asked when I was out to supper where I was and noticed me when I came back. About quarter of nine I left as she was dazed by the drug and probably would not care who was there after that. Dr. Jno. must have got Miss Lawler settled as she (Mother) told me, when I asked her, that she had a good night last night. 9:45 Just called Dr Jno. He said he had spent two hours at Iowa City today working on Navy stuff. He much prefers that service if he can get in. He saw Mother this morning, & won't be going over tonight if things go on OK. He is still working in his office, poor fellow on 24 hour shift I guess. He thought she was about the same but weak.
