Forgot to say Dr. Jno sent his regards to you tonight. I started out to get the transfer of the red car. The office here has to send for papers from Centerville. Stopped at the Relief office too but Mrs Hunt had such bad asthma she did not even get back to town from her week-end in Mt Vernon. Helen said the Board's unofficial reaction on Saturday was that I should have the job. It was sort of good to think of being back there and then I thought how i'd hate to be there if you get somewhere that I could go. In the latter case I would be free to send in a resignation. If I can't possibly be with you I think it would be good for me to have a job so that I'd have to keep a good public face. That should
