Saving...
I was hired at $100 a month to begin 9/1 to take Norma's place. I haven't been notified and the deal was to be at $120 or $125. Mrs Hunt wasn't in town when they voted so I imagine Elmer was thinking of the $50 coming from Uncle Sam and decided $100 was enough. I won't consider such an offer I can't believe as the job isn't given on a needs basis at all; if so Helen wouldn't be there at 125 and a young husband not in the army but with a good job etc etc on other cases. And I'm the only one but Mrs Hunt with training in graduate school. My absence from that office 10-1/2 months shouldn't decrease my value even if I don't know current bulletins as I had 4 mos of specialized experience at better pay and more responsibility. Not to mention the general maturing from marriage and home problems and my work with Red Cross. Maybe
