this is Providence's way to see that I'm not working and will be free to follow the army when the time comes! I'll not be disagreeable of course and I have a personal loyalty to Mrs Hunt such that I would help out in a jam, but to take on a regular deal like that doesn't seem a reasonable request. I'd be money ahead to live here and work even at 100 than $135 out of town but it is the idea of the things when less qualified people are getting $125 for the same job. They probably have figured out I'd take it regardless. When you were first gone was when I needed a job so desperately as far as my own personal feelings needs were concerned, but now I'm working through that adjustment so they have missed their chance to drive an easy bargain.
