He always calls Hazel's mother Mrs. Heasty and that doesn't make Hazel feel as good as if he'd call her mother or Ma Heasty. Hazel told me that in confidence one day, and I thought she felt a little bad about it, but she knows he is stubborn so she takes it in her stride. She doesn't call his dad Mr. M and she has him over for Sunday or holiday dinners and cooks all the things he likes, like corn bread etc he wouldn't get in a rooming house. Of all the friends I've met through you, I think Emilie has the most to her of real character, understanding and sympathy. She could teach us all a lot. She still gets sick
