Saving...
6 I'm not so foolish, nor selfish, to not suppose you have the same deprivation. I don't feel I have nearly as hard a spot as you do. And I know lots of service men and their wives have had real suffering of death, injury worse than death, are prisoners of the enemy, or are missing. We have been so very fortunate. I don't ever forget the blessings, still I miss you so. Some soldiers' girls and wives may forget and not care when the soldier is away. I can't really imagine that, because our being united is just as real and as desirable when you are away. I believe our caring grows all the time, if that is possible when we've always had so much love. Our letters are our only way to talk now, and they are a poor substitute for visiting in person. But a valued way when you're in Africa and I am in the States!
