Saving...
2 little irritated. I didn't mention them to anyone except I asked Madeline Healey the county nurse who helped me when Mother was sick, to be sure there a nothing at home I should do, or if I should ask some other Doc besides Prouty. She said no, he probably said all there was to say. She asked about my work and rest and food because they are considered as going with a nervous condition. I told her I'd gained two pounds just recently, I sleep all right, and both Miss Taft and my local bosses are satisfied with my work, they say. Now that your mail comes in good I'm even lucky that way. If they were going to spread I'd have them before now, because these two aren't new. I'm not going to tell any of the kin, your or mine, or any of friends or fellow workers. I remember how they all cackled when I got sort of thin. I'm not telling you as something to worry about either, but I can't leave out mentioning them when we always tell each other things. I know you believe what I say, and if they got real bothersome, or if anything bad was wrong, I'd tell you. And you'd tell me about anything about yourself too. Work went well. My laddie is safe and he loves me. What more can I ask except for a day when we are both home? From war-war to Laddie, Love Laura
