7 fixed up. Iowa Steel looks different too and I told you about the yard across from Iowa Manor by Bell Construction Bldg. Canned goods, meat, cheese, shoes are rationed now. Rations are adequate and in spite of the tremendous job of administering it, the people can make out fine. Maybe sugar and coffee will be off the list this fall, the paper said. Butter and fats and canned milk are rationed too. We have sent in applications for another general book and for gas books after July 21. Rationing has World War I hoarding beat. I'm seated on the bed writing on the west window sill. Your picture is still in the same place, so it seems to be looking from my left to see what is going into the letter!
