3 Red wouldn't take any pay for washing the car because he did it for the funeral. He changed the tires so the white remains on the side walls won't show. He found two of the tubes had been squeezed and there were two places on them to fix. I'm glad he found them now as it probably would mean the life of the tubes. There are so many things to do in the way of house work. All the more now as I had to fix two beds last night and got nothing at all done today but the entertaining. However, I'm not in a stew about it. I plan to wash tomorrow. Labor Day ought to be a suitable day to labor, don't you think? I plan on getting all the sleep I want first though. Did I tell you Virginia started in on me yesterday at the office about being thin and how they were all going to supervise me and see that I ate and rested. It just made me boil. I told her a good Social Worker did not use a direct approach like that and I thought I'd manage O.K. Of course I kidded about it but I was mad. If she had tact or imagination she'd know a few things. And her own bones are not so padded that she even looks really grown up! I'm glad she's a cat I've cultivated to keep
