4 in fair humor because I'd hate her tongue to be against me. But her talk has been a nuisance to me more than once. She has had trouble enough to realize the cost of a public composure, I'd think. Honey, to have you tell me alone at night about how I impressed you and did not let you down in your impression as our friendship grew is such a nice thing to recall when you are so far away. It seems good that honest decency can win such great praise. You know that what you think and feel is more important than anyone else's ideas to me. Then you recalled we had had no trouble and love seemed to be deeper every day, it possible. I've had hurt feelings sometimes, granted it usually was a lack of understanding. And I've done the same to you equally unintentionally. But they were always worked out by your love and sympathy and patience and our common love. I'll send your hairbrush and dress sox when I get them washed and dried. Maybe I'll remember those snapshots and clothes pins too. Ha Ha Goodnight, laddie. Since you can't be here, this is the next best way to be with you - writing. Love Laura
