4 eating joints. All I had was "brunch" today so now at seven o'clock I'm ready for a real meal. This is an extravagance but it is at least something different to do. I took the short cut out of here and stopped at the cemetery. The flowers are still there and a small canopy has been put up by Moen's to protect them. I'm very surprised they are keeping at all this long. 9:00 PM Home now, well fed and much better mood. I've finished all the cards now as I stopped at Moen to get enough. Had quite a talk with Mr Gifford again. Talked with Jack on the phone a few minutes and then listened to President Roosevelt's talk. Now I want to get on with my letter because I will have to go to bed earlier if I'm going to be an
