notes, or I would have written them better. Working out a case in the magazine helps me, I believe, to get along the better myself. I'm so glad to be able to write to you this paragraph. I feel now that I'll be able to "take it" O.K here, or any place I chance to be, whether I can ever follow you while you are in the service or not. Of course I could not avoid having you in the service and so I would have to take it somehow, but I mean now do it better. I've been talking straight to myself and thinking harder than ever (and I've done a lot of that this year). I know myself well enough to realize I'll still feel low sometimes, and I'll cry sometimes in spite of myself, but I've worked things over again, and
