Saving...
to play a line or two. League nights cost $1.00 so George is not playing with the Tuesday teams. I'll probably drop in a short time some night so I won't be "conspicious" by my absence. I saw Dr Hickok of Coe when I left Mary Ann's tonight. He is my old teacher I saw down by the P.O. the day after we were married. I was waiting in the car while you shopped across the street. Remember? He had gone before you returned. He asked about you and what I was doing. He was sympathetic without saying fancy words. Sort of good like the county boys. Off to PO I go now. Hope if Betty arrives in my absence she'll wait. I'll leave the lights on so she'll know I'll be back. Goodnight laddie. My husband. Love, Laura [smiley face doodle]
