Saving...
Doc and Anne's and I took Kate home. So then I landed here. Kate's mother is better now. She probably won't be real strong again. Kate wants to be with her husband whenever she can and still her mother counts on her being home too. Of course Kate's father is alive and well and and so she feels she should spend what weekends she can with Ernie while he is in Rockford as he'll be moved further away this winter. War affects more people more ways than we can ever imagine in advance or even see right in front of our eyes. I'm proud you were the guard selected and it would be more than too good to be true if you got that much time off extra when I'm down there. I'm returning the news item about your wife. The motion was lost for want of a second, you'll note if you read the next two lines! Only time will tell for sure what I'll get, but I believe it may be 120 -- otherwise 110. It is nice of Geo Caryl to give you the paper as there are a lot of names in it you will know. His dad still has arthritis I guess. I don't talk to Virginia about it because they were my family so long. They try and are real decent people.
