of moving my membership as Blackstone doesn't represent the whole Presbyterian church. I have a lot of heritages in the Presbyterian church long before Blackstone, and I shall have many more after his term is over here. One never goes to church just because of the preacher so one doesn't stay away for that reason either. You would have liked what Mr. Jacobs said this morning about families. He talked about values of family life and so on. A lot like you and I talk when we are alone together. There is a good sermon on the radio right now about prayer in war time. Maybe I can tell you about it. I'll be interested to know who the preacher is. It is over now and the speaker was the president of Lutheran Seminary in St. Paul. After I got all awake I decided to take the cake plate back to Irene. I stopped at Georges a few minutes. Colet and Geo have bad colds. They are digging potatoes. Rose is coming down with a cold. I didn't stay as I did not want to get tired out by being away from home too long and I did not want to exchange flu for a cold. Irene wasn't home when I got there but John was. Visited a little but & came back home, stopping on the way at the cemetary. I still have the ice cream keg & the flower basket in my car to return. May do that when I go out to mail this letter. I am stopping at the dress makers too to get my red skirt. Then I'll be warmly dressed when I go to work tomorrow. I don't have to do any of these things but they have to be done sometime and with little jobs I can come
