Saving...
2 Then I took Jay in Polly out to the shops to get Virginia who was returning a car. I saw Fred a minute the first time since I got back that I had a chance to say even a word to him. He is interested in us I guess. He kept asking the kids when I was gone what they had heard from me; whether I was coming back or going to get to go with you. He always thought whatever you did was about right slim the foreman's pet in getting supplies! Remember? And the visitor who could get the cars fixed for the asking? applesauce, eh? Two letters today. The ones you wrote on Wed & Thursday, so you see how long it takes for straight mail to come. Maybe you will be writing tomorrow or Wednesday in answer to my Red Cross predicament. Mrs. Ettinger got me today and I surely am in a spot. I hope things work out so I can be rescued
