One Sunday early in the spring when I started off in tears before I got to the breakfast table even you seemed puzzled and patient. I couldn't explain then to you that it was suddenly a very sharp disappointment to me the way you answered me off negatively when I mentioned going to church. It isn't or wasn't then either, like you were bad or mean or hatefully or anything, or didn't hold to ideals and respect a Power bigger than everything we knew.
