Saving...
2 the antifreeze done. They didn't find a leak but said the come back tomorrow as it would show up then if there were any. I also had them wash it as I want to keep the finish good and I want it to look nice if I should drive to Fort Dodge. Today I spent an hour at Red Cross trying to teach a woman to write records. A big order in such a short time. But I'm very hopeful as she is real intelligent, and interested in the project too. I spent the rest of the afternoon interviewing the woman who is trying to set up a day nursery for hourly or day care in a store room on Second Avenue East in the block above the tracks. That study is a regular child welfare job. It is my fourth visit to her and I am not organized for a report yet. The day care consultant form the State Child Welfare Dept comes tomorrow and I certainly expect to besiege her with questions about all the problems I see and wish I knew how to answers. Virginia has two such studies to make and Mrs Hampton has one. Relief requests may be going down but we certainly do not lack of jobs to do. And the office girls like Evelyn and Velma Hauser write as much of the routine stuff for us as they can. And still I seem to be very much occupied. Not that I don't want to be occupied, but I like to have time enough to do the things somewhat like they should be. More thunder. Maybe I'll wake up to find the winter has all gone and it is April. Do you suppose, honey? Ha Ha.
