817-19 St. S.E. Cedar Rapids, Iowa November 3, 1942 Dearest, Such a good letter today, laddie. It was the one you wrote the day my letters written on my birthday got to you. You don't need to worry about not getting things said the way you want to when you write your feelings in letters. You do well and it makes me feel good to read the things you say. To have them to read helps me to be tough. It is so comforting to think I have a good husband who loves me, and who never pulls things and never forgets to tell me he loves me. Sometimes I've wondered if I wrote too much about my feelings and so on but I know it must be good for both of us because you write that way too.
