Saving...
817 19 St S.E. Cedar Rapids, Iowa December 8, 1942 Dearest, It is late (9:55!) and I'm sleepy so I'll write only part of your letter tonight. But I have to write that I love you and have been thinking a lot about you this evening. And it is all good thinking. Today went well. The fire stayed banked fine. There are gobs and gobs of work at the office but no one is being too tough about it. Elinor Sweitzer didn't deign to speak to me in all her righteous anger at my neglect of my job until after lunch today. Evelyn Gibson says elinor has certainly lashed her tongue over me. Evelyn lectured her a bit, quite a big I gather.
