Saving...
long a story to try to tell you about good incidents from that like I do when we can talk together in person. Leone said Prudence wrote of [initiviting?] you to their open house Christmas when all the town calls on them and drinks egg nog. Eggs are bad enough but with Four Roses even worse to think about, though I understand not to taste. At any rate, you'll be invited there sometime but as far as droves of people go, I imagine you would enjoy it more with just the Anthonys and possibly Harry there. As to egg nog -- I'm 100% "agin" that. When I was in Spartanburg you said you had not had a single drink, in Baltimore you said you'd had a taste of So. Carolina beer and how terrible it was. I surely do appreciate your not having a drop. You are man enough not to have to drink with the boys to prove you are a man. And every single solitary swallow gives help to an industry and trade the world would be better off without. You always emphasized how you admired me for not smoking and drinking when I'd had lots of chances to acquire the habits. It was a mighty big blow to me to learn you did occasionally
