Saving...
817-19 St. S.E. Cedar Rapids, Iowa December 11, 1942 Dearest, Here it is just ten o'clock and I'll start my letter to mail in the morning. The way I got got my schedule all bawled up it means I've written part of three letters to you today. Leone called. Yesterday was their sixteenth anniversary. Jack sent her red roses and of course she was thrilled by that bit of thoughtfulness. She said they had had a happy home and the sixteen years seems like just several. It is snapping cold now - about zero. and don't think I haven't made a big fire for the night. I've had a bath, washed my hose and run a batch in the machine since supper. Besides finishing a novel in a magazine and thinking gobs about you, and us. I was in Palo today visiting. Because Mrs. Baldwin had so many more clients than Lucy, Mrs Hunt is shifting district on the east side again. And as usual Elinor is complaining to everybody. She feels completely abused and doesn't seem to approve of anything in the office. I don't see why she does not find some place to work that seems better to her. Mrs Hunt seemed weary of the complaints..
