Saving...
Today I worked a lot for the county in the morning. I did home visits. Did some this afternoon too, but drove our car mostly and took care of some personal things. Bought some balsam (15 [cent symbol]!) for the mantel and got a box of candy from Dysarts for all the family at Georges. Geo stopped tonight for Colet's present and told me they had left mine at [Christles?]. Later Mrs [Churstte?] called and I went over to get it. I'll not open it until tomorrow so that I'll have something special to do then. Johanna came up at noon and was at our table at Killians. Then at 5:30 she came out, helped get supper and fix the decorations. We called at Steeles a short time. I took them a box of the fireplace stuff as they admired it and it was a small remembrance. I also got one for Leone. I didn't send them any Christmas cards and the Twilight Glow is small and cheap. Worthwhile to give them only because it was unique to them and they liked it. You would like it here tonight laddie. I don't think I'll make you homesick
