Saving...
along good and beating the bugs. Today I was the witness for Hazel and Earl to get their license. That was an exchange of service, wasn't it? I hope they find married life as good as we have, don't you? But I wouldn't trade husbands for anyone in the world. The address of Leone and Jack is 2409 D Ave N.E. Do be sure to drop them a line of thanks. I just talked to Leone and told her how much you appreciated the candy but they will really appreciated your effort of writing a line too. I got to 1 o'clock dinner there on new years Day. Mother wrote today that a letter came the day before Christmas from Maurice stating he arrived "in South Pacific area" having stood the trip "quite well and was O.K." I'm so glad they heard. It isn't right to have a favorite brother as all of them are my brothers but you realize Maurice has a special place in my regard. You and Tom may resemble each other more in looks, but in spirit and such things it is you and Maurice.
