Saving...
Today I took the same baby, Steve from the Home to the doctor and back. Such a helpless, pathetic bit of humanity. I know if you saw him you would understand my maternal ravings. Carls job is with War Production Board. He represents the rock crusher industry and is the voice in determining how much raw material companies of that manufacture need. They borrowed him from Iowa Mann and sent home the man Iowa did have there. I don't know who that was. The vice pres. or some such I guess. Ardy has bad cold and hasn't been out this week. I must call her later and see how she is coming. I have to go to Churchills before going to Perrines So Ill close now. I hope the mail rolls in regularly now to my laddie. I plan to get home early, and if I do it won't be so very long before I'm in the place you fixed. I love my husband. I think of him of often and I'm looking on to the time we can be together every day. Love, Laura Good letters have come from my Laddie
