2 I bought a big square one, wider at the bottom. It is white wax and has a rough finish in imitation of wax that has dripped down. Only this isn't supposed to drip when it burns. It is beautiful white is called 15 inches but measures about 14 1/2. Red would show dust through the year but we can keep this one clean. And red is real Christmas color of course but not as adaptable for occasions as white. And white with Christmas greens is pretty too. While red if you come home sometime besides the Christmas season would be much less fitting than the white. Hope this all sounds good to you. Anyway, the newest Davis family has its own family tradition planned in just one of the things that is to be ours. We'll have lots more of those too as we build together just like we've already built on some ideals and habits. Those habits and customs and traditions will be those of our particular branch of the Davis family. Some will be general and others who are at all observant and thoughtful will notice them, but others will be known only to us. Like the place you always fix for me. And the kisses we have when we waken in the middle of the night, kiss a little, maybe say a secret or two and then be sleeping soundly again. We don't have to put on an act of effusive affection in public because we have enough satisfaction and affection privately to be secure. We aren't self conscious or guilty either in public because we can be proud in our caring for each other too. I'm glad if you want to reread the letters.
