Saving...
Dearest, Such a good long sleep last night. It is the longest I've had since I don't know how long. Guess I must have been in an especially sleeping mood. I got crowded on the paper I wrote last night and not get anything written about you. Having such a good husband as you is what makes it possible for me to feel good. It will be so much better when we are both home again. But until then I'm glad to be your wife and be able to be proud you are not doing any gold bricking while others have to do the work of the war. I hope I can get my war children's job, then it will be more like I'm helping in the war. If I can help my soldier husband that will help the war a little too. If your mail ever overtakes you I hope it makes you feel good. If I've written any stuff that makes is hard for you to be tough, I'm sorry. And I hope there will be enough other letters to off set any that were not so good. The children's job, if I get it, will be all here in town. So I'll go on keeping our home and watching stuff as near the way I think you'd want it. I'll be in the place you fixed soon. Love to my husband, Laura
