Saving...
Dearest, Tuesday and still wet weather. Lots of things went on at the office. Then this evening I had a different schedule. I tried to mow but it was too wet. So about 7:30 I called Mrs. Hunt and asked her and Miss Louis, head city [illegible] who rooms in the same house, to go for a ride. We went out the [illegible] road southwest. They had never seen that road before and thought it was very pretty. We found [illegible] along that road stuck with a load of tires on the truck. They were just starting to unload it as they had over loaded and could not get from the private gate on to the highway. We came back in an hour or so and they were out and about loaded again. Hazel and Earl did not know they were gone and had gone to [illegible] to get Ray's help on radio repairs. [illegible] was home so they probably had a [illegible] but not much gout. Work was done. Well Tomorrow I give the Red Cross class lesson, and then I can vacation from them for a while. I love my husband. I'm in the place you fixed. Goodnight laddie, Laura.
