They are about 2500 men here now a lot of Iowa boys beside us Ive been around quite a bit with a fellow from Ryan he is a nice fellow no rowdieness about him they are all kinds here. They had a movie last didn't go it was to hot in the show house a lot came out before it was over. The Miss river is across the tracks from camp, there is a construction job between the river & track [as?] it is under about 4 feet of water Army beds are good sleeping had good rest last & today ther wont be much of that from now on St. Louis is about 8 miles from here. You cant get a pass to leave untill you have been here 10 days. Hope mom is making it all right Love Lloyd
